Office & Commercial Movers Built Around Your Business
Western Moving & Storage plans office and commercial relocations around the real workspace: furniture, workstations, equipment, building access, loading areas, elevators, move windows and the order your business needs everything placed at the new location.
Small office move or larger business relocation, the goal is the same: understand the scope before move day, protect the equipment and furniture, and keep the physical move organized from origin to destination.

What We Review Before the First Desk Is Moved
Business relocations have more moving parts than a normal household move. A useful quote starts with the workspace, the building rules, the furniture and equipment, and the sequence the new office needs.
Office Size & Layout
Workstations, private offices, boardrooms, reception areas, storage rooms and shared spaces all affect crew and truck planning.
Furniture & Equipment
Desks, chairs, shelving, filing cabinets, monitors, printers and other equipment should be included in the scope before move day.
Building Access
Elevator reservations, loading docks, truck parking, long hallways, stairs and approved move windows can change the physical move plan.
Furniture Breakdown
Modular desks, tables, shelving and standard office furniture may need to be disassembled before transport and rebuilt at destination.
Packing & Labelling
A clear destination label for boxes, furniture and equipment helps each item reach the correct office, department or zone.
Move Sequence
Priority areas can be identified before loading so the physical move follows the order your business needs at the new location.
Confirm Elevator, Loading Dock and Parking Rules Early
Commercial buildings can have specific move procedures. Ask your property manager about elevator bookings, loading dock access, truck parking, floor or wall protection, approved move times and any documents they require from the moving company.
Tell Us What Kind of Business Move You Are Planning
Choose the move type, approximate workspace size and the details that apply. The result gives you a planning starting point before the quote form.
Office Relocation
Start with a clear inventory of workstations, furniture, equipment and building access at both locations.
Your Office Relocation
Add the pickup, destination, move date and contact information. The builder gives us useful context, but the final crew, trucks and scope are confirmed after reviewing the actual move.

Two 20-Desk Offices Can Be Completely Different Moves
Workstation count helps, but it does not tell the whole story.
20 Desks • Simple Access • Furniture Ready
- Standard desks and chairs
- Minimal filing and storage
- Freight elevator already booked
- Boxes labelled by destination area
- IT team has equipment ready for transport
20 Desks • Modular Furniture • Tight Building Window
- Workstations require breakdown and rebuild
- Large filing room and storage area
- Copier / printer equipment
- Restricted loading dock and elevator window
- Multiple departments need different destination zones
What to Send Us for a Better Office Moving Plan
Photos, a simple inventory and building-access details are usually much more useful than a rough description such as “small office.”
Pickup & Destination
Addresses, suite or floor information and approximate truck access.
Workspace Photos
Workstations, offices, reception, boardrooms and shared spaces.
Furniture Inventory
Desks, tables, chairs, shelving, cabinets and storage furniture.
Equipment
Monitors, computers, printers, copiers and other equipment being physically moved.
Building Rules
Elevator, loading dock, parking, protection and approved move hours.
Move Date
Preferred date plus any hard building or business deadlines.
Packing Scope

Destination Layout
A simple floor plan or room / department names help direct placement.
Special Items
Heavy, fragile, oversized or unusual items should be identified before move day.
A Simple Office Labelling System Can Save a Lot of Confusion
The exact system can be as simple as a department, room or destination zone. What matters is that the label used at the old office matches the destination plan at the new office.
Destination Zone
Example: Reception, Sales, Office 3, Boardroom or Storage.
Workstation or Department
Identify the workstation, department or person when that helps placement.
Coordinate the Physical Move With Your IT Team
Servers, network infrastructure, backups, account security and system configuration require your IT professionals. For normal office computers, monitors and peripherals, your team can prepare and label the equipment while the physical moving plan is coordinated around it.
How an Office Move Is Organized
A commercial move works best when the move-day crew is following a plan that was built before the truck arrives.
Scope the Move
Review addresses, workspace size, furniture, equipment, dates and extra services.
Review Access
Confirm elevators, loading areas, stairs, parking, hallways and property-management rules.
Plan Packing & Labels
Decide what is being packed, how boxes and furniture are labelled and where each item belongs.
Protect & Load
Protect furniture and move items according to the agreed physical loading sequence.
Transport
Move the commercial inventory to the new workspace using the truck plan confirmed for the job.
Place & Reassemble
Unload by destination zone and complete agreed standard furniture reassembly.
Office Building Access Checklist
Building rules vary, so confirm these items with both the old and new property managers before moving day.
Office & Commercial Moving Service Areas

Office Moving Support Beyond Loading the Truck
Office Packing
Boxed office contents, common areas and selected workspace packing support.
STORAGEStorage Between Locations
Useful when the old office and new workspace are not ready on the same schedule.
Disassembly & Reassembly
Standard desks, tables, shelving and other furniture can be reviewed as part of the scope.
Junk / Surplus Removal
Identify unwanted furniture separately so removal can be planned apart from the destination load.

Questions Businesses Ask Before an Office Move
How is an office moving quote calculated?
We review workspace size, furniture and equipment, crew and truck requirements, building access, packing needs, disassembly / reassembly, storage and timing. Larger or more complex commercial moves benefit from a detailed inventory or walkthrough.
Can you disassemble and reassemble office furniture?
Standard office furniture such as desks, tables and shelving can be reviewed for disassembly and reassembly as part of the move scope. Send photos of modular or unusual furniture before the quote is finalized.
Can you move computers and monitors?
Computers, monitors and peripherals can be physically moved when properly prepared and labelled. Your IT team or IT vendor should handle backups, system shutdown, disconnection, network changes, reconnection and testing.
Who books the office elevator and loading dock?
Building access is normally arranged with the property manager or building management. Confirm the freight elevator, loading area, approved move hours, truck parking and any protection or insurance requirements before move day.
Do you provide office packing?
Packing support can be added to the office move. Tell us which areas your staff will pack and which areas you want included in the moving scope.
Can you store office furniture between locations?
Yes. Storage can be added when the old office must be vacated before the new space is ready.
Can you move only one department or part of an office?
Yes. Partial office moves, departments, furniture groups and internal relocations can be reviewed as their own scope.
How far in advance should we start planning?
Start as early as you can, especially when building management, elevator reservations, IT vendors, furniture breakdown or multiple departments are involved. The larger the move, the more useful an early scope review becomes.
What should we label before the move?
Use a simple system that identifies where each box, furniture piece or equipment group belongs at the new office. Department, room, zone, workstation or employee identifiers can all work if they match the destination plan.
